Share |
Hello to all you stampers out there in CyberLand,

Happy World Card Making Day!

I'm excited to be stamping with some friends this morning at my 8 card Stamp-A-Stack, where we'll get to celebrate the 2nd annual World Card Making Day together. A little bit of music, a little chocolate.. and lots of stamping. WHOOT!

To celebrate with you stampers who are NOT here to play today, here's a chance at a little stamping blog candy for you: a brand new roll of Stampin' Up! pink grosgrain ribbon!

All you have to do for YOUR chance to win is STAMP a card today and then write me a comment below with a quick description of the card you made. How easy is that?

I'll draw a winner on Monday (our Canadian Thanksgiving day) and see who the lucky stamper is!

So... what are you waiting for? GET STAMPING!
- Caroline

Happy WCD to you! How sweet to include your stampin blogger in on the FUN!
I made a thank you cards for my sister to give out. A week ago we find out her 5 year old son had a tumor in his brain and had to have surgery. This will be a long journey in our lifes and for this little man. Anyway I use:
Stamps: Crayon Kids stamps and simply said
Ink: black and red
Accessories: SU ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder, and chalk
Paper: SU card stock in white, blues, browns, yellows and some misc design paper.
Thanks for a chance at your sweet candy.
Well I have made 5 already for World Card making day, and I pal to make a few more yet!
My favorite of the five is a baby card. I started out with Certainly Celery as a base. On top of that is a layer of designer paper, the one that co-ordinates with the petals and paisley set? Anyway it's turquoise with shy blue polka dots. I tied some white grosgrain ribbon around the bottom . I punches a scalloped square out of apricot, and on confetti white I stamped the baby carriage from Fun and Fast Notes. The Happy New Baby sentiment was stamped in the bottom right corner in Close to cocoa. It's super cute!
I made this Clickabella card today!!
Not really any special techniques, prismacolors & gamsol, some stitching, and some yummy SU pp and new photo corner punch!! :)
I made a card and it's pink- my favorite color. So I would love this ribbon!! Here is my card:
I made a few hallowween cards (since it's just around the corner!!!). I will be making more soon, if i get my stamping room cleaning out a little. My cards will be posted soon on my own blog, you can check it out!
Bonjour Caroline!

Good morning!
I made a Bella card,'s not something i'm proud of yet, but I needed a thank you in a hurry, and the bella image fit the bill!! It had some bella baubles and was mostly pinks/greens/blues. If I can fix it up I'll post it on my blog!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I made a card today for a challenge. Here is my card.

Thanks for sharing blog candy with us all!!! Happy card making day! -Samantha
OH! Yesterday was teacher appreciation day and I didn't get a chance to make a card because of my busy, today I made a thank you card using Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou and Soft Sky. DIVINE!!!
I made a card with Zoofari and Polka Dots and Petals. I used Soft Sky and River Rock. I really love those two colors together. Hope you are enjoying World Card Making Day!!!
How cool, my very first blog candy "submission" for ANY blogger! Anyways, I made a card using my all time favorite retired set Roses In Winter. I used Wild Wasabi for the card base, Purely Pomegranate for layer 1 and then layered the main image on Whisper White. As for ink, I used: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Pale Plum, & Perfect Plum. I also used Basic Black for the sentiment using "Thinking Of You" from Elegant Greetings. I have a similar card on my blog under Sleep deprivation + boredom=THIS! It's a like a step by step mini vid. LOL! My customers liked this card so much they wanted to re-create it today when I had my class. Thanks! ~Gabby
OH DUH...I forgot to wish you a very Happy Card Making Day!
Happy Card Making Day! Here's one I made this afternoon:
I made a kraft card, swiped with white ink, on another piece of kraft I stamped pick a petal design and over stamped with bordering blue, mounted the kraft on bashful blue, punched a hole in the center of the flower and layer 2 primas with a rhinestone brad in the center, mounted this whole piece on the kraft card, added a couple of pieces of ribbon and voila a congratulations card. TFS, Happy Card Making Day and Happy Thanksgiving:)
Happy Card making day!
Using Su Barogue motifs - I stamped the swirl in Artichoke on River rock paper, stamped the flowers in real red, added a strip of dashing layered on real red, and punched out 2 flowers in vellum, 1 in red, attached the flowers together witha brad and mounted in the middle of the card. Added Merry Christmas sentiment!

I made a card today-its a cream base with the corners punched to hold a background striped paper edged in brown. I stamped a Hero Arts flower image in off white, cplored some of the daisies with Spica pens, and attached a few fabric flowers, then layered this peice on dark brown and after adding a strip of woven braid, pop dotted this on the front. I hope to have a photo on my blog tomorrow . its very pretty.
Hi Caroline!
I wanted to do something special on WCMD so I did something I have never done before and made a tutorial of it on my blog. It is flowers made with aluminum foil and alcohol inks. The foil glows and I used a stampin up blessings sentiment stamp and it matches so well. You can see my card on my site if you like. Thanks for the chance to win such a fun prize!
Happy WCD to you. I made a Halloween card using our punches. I'm also looking for ways to use product in different ways. I love my punches.
I made a outdoor scence with ghosts, tombstones, a moon, fence and pumkins.
I used the 4 different size circle punches, tag punch, and the oval punch.
The card was black with white ghost, sahara sand tombstones, orange pumpkins and chocolate chip fence.
Thanks for the chance at some blog candy. I love your blog!!
I made TWELVE thank you cards with the Big Blossom embossed on them! :)

Hope you had a great day! I didn't do much but I will make up for it next week at my Stamp club! I had an pain injection in my back on Friday so I was just blog surfing yesterday. But I made this card set a few days ago...
I entered it in a contest at Bitten by the bug...
Great blog! TFS!
Hi Caroline. I made an Anniversay card for my Inlaws using one of my new favs - True Friend. Stamped using Wild wasabi, Purely pomegrante, very vanilla, old olive, added old olive organza ribbon with the new technique to get the knot that I learned from a blogger friend and my fire rhinestone brads. Also for the first time I used Metal Trimmed tags to add my sentiment. I am sdo excited with how it turned out. I hope they LOVE it as much as I do.
Happy Cardmaking Day - yesterday and everyday!!
Using CLose As A Memory I made some Comfort Cards using Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Not Quite NAvy.

I also used my fave little man Voila'. I made Criss Cross Halloween cards!!

I had a small event with several great friends!!!

We also all made cards for soldiers.!!
How about if yesterday I MAILED a card that I stamped earlier in the week? Does that count? huh?

It was a get well card for my little sister who has a combination of blood poisoning from a wasp bite, pneumonia and a ruptured ear drum....oh and she just got put on blood pressure meds so I figured she could use a card.

I'm totally going for the sympathy vote here but I swear, it's all true.

Why is WCD on Thanksgiving weekend. What boob picked the 6th?
Hi Caroline,
I finished up the 14 gift bags I made for Thnkasgiving, and then the 8 cards I made! Oh and I went to have Turkey Too! I used all SU paper and Inks, but may have used a couple non SU stamps (oops!)Oh and I have a BRAND NEW BLOG thanks to sue so you can check out the pictures there once I upload them!
Hi Caroline!
I made a card using River Rock, Choc. Chip, and Blue Bayou -- and twill tape, brads and punches... I wheeled using the speckled wheel, and used the "happy" stamp from petals and paisleys... it is rather a "guy" card, which I love -- as I will send it to my brother-in-law for his birthday this week.

I will try to upload it to my blog this week... I have been such a bad blogger, though!

Happy Thanksgiving!
