Happy World Card Making Day!
I'm excited to be stamping with some friends this morning at my 8 card Stamp-A-Stack, where we'll get to celebrate the 2nd annual World Card Making Day together. A little bit of music, a little chocolate.. and lots of stamping. WHOOT!
To celebrate with you stampers who are NOT here to play today, here's a chance at a little stamping blog candy for you: a brand new roll of Stampin' Up! pink grosgrain ribbon!
All you have to do for YOUR chance to win is STAMP a card today and then write me a comment below with a quick description of the card you made. How easy is that?
I'll draw a winner on Monday (our Canadian Thanksgiving day) and see who the lucky stamper is!
So... what are you waiting for? GET STAMPING!
I made a thank you cards for my sister to give out. A week ago we find out her 5 year old son had a tumor in his brain and had to have surgery. This will be a long journey in our lifes and for this little man. Anyway I use:
Stamps: Crayon Kids stamps and simply said
Ink: black and red
Accessories: SU ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder, and chalk
Paper: SU card stock in white, blues, browns, yellows and some misc design paper.
Thanks for a chance at your sweet candy.
My favorite of the five is a baby card. I started out with Certainly Celery as a base. On top of that is a layer of designer paper, the one that co-ordinates with the petals and paisley set? Anyway it's turquoise with shy blue polka dots. I tied some white grosgrain ribbon around the bottom . I punches a scalloped square out of apricot, and on confetti white I stamped the baby carriage from Fun and Fast Notes. The Happy New Baby sentiment was stamped in the bottom right corner in Close to cocoa. It's super cute!
Not really any special techniques, prismacolors & gamsol, some stitching, and some yummy SU pp and new photo corner punch!! :)
Today, i made card with "papier imprimé de lin"
I very like this paper!!!!
sorry but i dont speak englis very well...but i try! ;)
Thanks for the chance to win!
Thanks for sharing blog candy with us all!!! Happy card making day! -Samantha
Using Su Barogue motifs - I stamped the swirl in Artichoke on River rock paper, stamped the flowers in real red, added a strip of dashing layered on real red, and punched out 2 flowers in vellum, 1 in red, attached the flowers together witha brad and mounted in the middle of the card. Added Merry Christmas sentiment!
I wanted to do something special on WCMD so I did something I have never done before and made a tutorial of it on my blog. It is flowers made with aluminum foil and alcohol inks. The foil glows and I used a stampin up blessings sentiment stamp and it matches so well. You can see my card on my site if you like. Thanks for the chance to win such a fun prize!
I made a outdoor scence with ghosts, tombstones, a moon, fence and pumkins.
I used the 4 different size circle punches, tag punch, and the oval punch.
The card was black with white ghost, sahara sand tombstones, orange pumpkins and chocolate chip fence.
Thanks for the chance at some blog candy. I love your blog!!
I entered it in a contest at Bitten by the bug...
Great blog! TFS!
Using CLose As A Memory I made some Comfort Cards using Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Not Quite NAvy.
I also used my fave little man Voila'. I made Criss Cross Halloween cards!!
I had a small event with several great friends!!!
We also all made cards for soldiers.!!
It was a get well card for my little sister who has a combination of blood poisoning from a wasp bite, pneumonia and a ruptured ear drum....oh and she just got put on blood pressure meds so I figured she could use a card.
I'm totally going for the sympathy vote here but I swear, it's all true.
Why is WCD on Thanksgiving weekend. What boob picked the 6th?
I finished up the 14 gift bags I made for Thnkasgiving, and then the 8 cards I made! Oh and I went to have Turkey Too! I used all SU paper and Inks, but may have used a couple non SU stamps (oops!)Oh and I have a BRAND NEW BLOG thanks to sue so you can check out the pictures there once I upload them!
I made a card using River Rock, Choc. Chip, and Blue Bayou -- and twill tape, brads and punches... I wheeled using the speckled wheel, and used the "happy" stamp from petals and paisleys... it is rather a "guy" card, which I love -- as I will send it to my brother-in-law for his birthday this week.
I will try to upload it to my blog this week... I have been such a bad blogger, though!
