Now that my holidays are over with, I just wanted to drop you all a quick "hello!" plus share a reminder about this Wednesday's final summertime 5 card Xmas class.
I've had a great time this summer getting the jump on my massive holiday card "job", and it seems that everyone who has attended the card camps (or bought them "to-go") would agree.
Here is one of the cards we will be making Wednesday night, CASE'd off a card I swapped at Convention with Kim Vale, a demonstrator from Stoughton, WI. Don't you just love "Sandy Claws"? :) It has a fun and unique shape that would be a joy to receive... and we'll have even more fun making it!!
I've been busy planning out my calendar for the next few months, so I've just updated my classes & events page to include ALL my events between now and the end of November. Anyone in or around the Toronto area is welcome to come and check them out!
**NEW** If you're a demonstrator in our Canadians, INK!" group, I now have a page just for you guys HERE, that reflects your discounted class fees, etc.
HAPPY STAMPING, everyone!
p.s. If you live in Canada, don't forget to sign up for my free e-newsletter (on the left-side). There's a fantastic special coming up with 6 stamp sets being offered at savings from 30-40% off... I just KNOW you'll want all the info when it comes out!

I've been enjoying my holidays immensely, and will do so even more when the kids go camping with their beloved Auntie Lisa, Uncle Marc and cousin Sarah this weekend (woohooo!). I simply can't remember when Brent and I have had a weekend alone -- this is the first time in YEARS so I plan on taking advantage of it big time. We already have great reservations for dinner planned and we'll bum around the city and waterfront together like tourists :)
Anyhow, before I leave you for the next few days, here's a list of what retired stamp sets are left after my Open House guests went through them. PLMK if you need pictures or more info on any of them! You're welcome to pick them up (if you're in Toronto or the GTA) or I can have them shipped to you for an additional cost.
Oh yes - don't forget about the free ink pad offer that was sent out to all my e-newsletter recipients too -- you only have until the end of August to take advantage of that sweet deal :)
So until next week, HAPPY STAMPING!

I've been enjoying some fabulous family vacation time with both my kidlets now that they're out of summer day camp, but wanted to pop in quickly to all my blog readers to say "hello!" and remind you that I will be at my studio this Thursday night from 7:30-8:30 for a Stampin' Up! Information Night. (RSVP here)
If you've EVER had any questions about what comes in our Starter Kit, want to understand the business vs hobbiest opportunities or just want to learn more about the many perks of becoming a demonstrator, this night is for you!
A Demo Info Night is just an informal evening where I get a chance to share a little about the how & whys I became a demonstrator 5.5 years ago (back then, it was ALL about the discount), I get an chance to answer YOUR burning questions, plus we get to stamp a fun card together.
With the great new "Choose Your Family" 12 free ink pads promotion and a highly customizable starter kit, it's such a PERFECT time to get started! Don't forget, the new Holiday Mini Catalogue is just around the corner and I know you'll be wanting everything in there. Why not start saving money NOW?!
If you don't live in Toronto or you can't make it Thursday night, just ask me to mail you out a free information package instead. Or better yet, let me take you out for a tea or coffee and we can chat about it. After all, it's just one of the many parts of our "Statement of the heart": to love what we do, and share what we love!

Attendance is drop-in style, so you can just pop by anytime when I'm open. If you're in and around Toronto this weekend I would love to see you. You can RSVP for either Friday (7-9pm) or Saturday (11am-3pm). Bring along a friend who is new to me and you'll each pick a stamp from my basket!
I will have a wide display of card & 3-D stamped items, new accessories and papers for you to browse through, so don't forget your camera!
What else? Let's see... great door prizes, ordering and demonstrator sign-up specials, plus dozens of retired stamp sets for sale! And what would be a good Open House without some yummy snacks and stamping?????!!! A crying shame, I say.. so you know I'll have both waiting for you.
e-NEWSLETTER recipients: For those of you on my mailing list, you already know about my great BIRTHDAY CARD contest. Don't forget to bring one along to have a chance at winning the cool stamp set I'm giving away :)
Can't make it this weekend? No Problem! I'll miss you, but you can always email me to find out what my special is, and I'll let you take advantage of it too :)

I have to say, I had a *BLAST* hosting this past Saturday's Demonstrator Stamp Camp for the "Canadians, INK!" gals on my team... and I can only hope that they did as well. Stamping, treats, door prizes, goody bags -- how could we not have fun??!
I was probably the most "comfy"-ly attired one in attendance, since I opted to wear my "Dream Big" Convention pyjamas and Stampin' Up cruise slippers. Oh no -- that's not true, 'cuz Dina (on the right) came in her matching jammies as well too (what a good sport).
I tried to corner everyone into talking a picture of them with their favorite project of the day... looks like some victims managed to escape my photographic clutches. I'll get you next time, my pretties!! You'll see them below as part of the "Wall of Fame".
If you live in Canada and would like more info on how you can join our merry band of stampers, please ask me - I'm glad to share. And especially with the new sign-up promotion going on right now, it's pretty darn hard to resist (and why would you want too, I ask?)
What's coming up later this week? Wednesday night is my 3rd Xmas Card camp for the summer (details here) and then this weekend will be my big Open House event. Hope to see some of you soon!

Who wouldn't?! Getting 12 free ink pads to supplement the demonstrator Starter Kit is a great deal, and it's here only until Sept 30.
Here's how it works:
From August 10 - September 30, new demonstrators will get to choose a colour family of Classic Stampin' Pads® free when they purchase the Starter Kit. That's up to a $79.95 value in addition to the excellent value of the kit itself, valued at over $500! The cost of the Starter Kit is only $275 CDN + PST (no S&H or GST!)
New recruits may choose between our four colour families (Bold Brights, Earth Elements, Rich Regals, and Soft Subtles - 12 pads each) or choose a 6-pack of our 2007 In Color pads.

It's on Saturday October 6th, so I've gone ahead and booked that day off to dedicate to this fun event.
What exactly will I be doing? I'm not too sure yet, but I've decided to make it a FREE event, requiring only that you bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank, just in time for the Canadian Thanksgiving drive.
Sound like fun? Stay tuned for details... :)
PS... I've gone and updated all my classes & events from now until the end of October, so if you live in the Greater Toronto Area and would like more info on what stamping and scrapbooking "thangs" are going on, please visit my Events page. If you live elsewhere in Canada, you can still go there to find out info about my popular "Classes to Go"!

WELL! I just have to say that was an extremely exhilarating yet exhausting 5 days in Denver.
I'm home safe & sound from our annual Stampin' Up! Convention and am thrilled to be able to spend some time with my kids & hubby again - I miss them something fierce when I go away. I also look forward to reading all my zillion emails to catch up on what everyone is doing, since my internet access was so spotty while I was gone. Good thing Dina was keeping everyone updated!
I've begun the process of uploading pictures to a Webshots Gallery but please don't expect much from me over this civic holiday long weekend.... I plan on catching up on some desperately needed sleep. I think I calculated that I got about 12 hours in total while I was gone :)
But to just give the key highlights super-fast:
- the overall Convention experience was AWESOME, I loved seeing old & meeting new friends, the stamping tips taught were phenomenal, the Awards Night entertainment rocked out and I had a great time participating in the "Achieving your Recruiting Dreams" classes each afternoon.
My hope is that participants in my classes were able to take away some pertinent information on that subject and weren't bored to tears -- I know it's such a dry topic to talk about sometimes, and not as much fun as the stamping classes. I'm trying to live down the fact that Dale Fillmore (our president COO) was in the back of the class the time I told the cow analogy!!!!
Anyhow, I've had a lot of the demonstrators on my team ask me how I did this year, so I'll share with you now:
I was deeply honoured to find out that I earned the #3 spot in Canada for a Leadership award (Sr. Associate Promotions in 1rst Level) and received the #4 Demonstrator of the Year award!!!! Thanks to each and every one of you who helped me achieve this level of success this past year -- I'm truly grateful from the bottom of my heart.
Happy long weekend to my fellow Ontarians!

Well, there has been SO LITTLE time to blog while here in Denver for the Stampin' Up! convention, it's not even funny!! I'd hoped to able to stay in touch and share as I go but my camera isn't cooperating, my laptop doesn't want to stay online and I just keep running plumb out of time.
It's our last evening here and we're getting all dolled up for the Awards Night, and then tomorrow we go home. But I *HAVE* to share one thing now (and the rest can wait until I get home and can upload pics).....
... my downline Dina won a free Bermuda Cruise at Convention today!!! WOOHOOOO!!! Yes, they gave away 10 cruises to random demonstrators and you had to hear me scream like a banshee when I saw her name posted on the screen. HOW WILD IS THAT???!!!! I can't wait until you see the pictures of her on the stage... totally awesome. It was the absolute highlight of my time here, without any doubt.
Anyhow, I've taken about 300 pictures at least of amazing stamping displays and have learned SO much that I'm dying to get home and share it. I know I have a zillion emails to reply to so patience, my friends. I'll be home and back online by Saturday.
- sending a shout-out to all the lovely demo friends I made here at Convention who visit my blog. Love ya...
