P.S. the past 2 weeks have been super crazy with all the renovations, computer & internet problems etc, but I'm happy to say that my move into the new studio is practically completed. I am looking forward to welcoming all my class attendees and guests there in May!

Cruise '08 Memories: Samples (part 1)

Next is a new set coming out in August called "Bella Blossoms", and a card that Pam made with it. I loved how she used Crystal Effects around the edges of the blossom and then applied the Chunky glitter to it -- looks faboo in person.

For the following project, I love how after stamping the main image, the paper piercer was used to add teeny holes across it all. I've done that technique before alongside the stamped image (like with the big flourish in "Baroque Motifs") but never right into the line itself. Looked very cool!

Here are a few more items shown to us... hope you enjoy them!

Now, do you want to see some pretty SAMPLES of projects that were demo'd/shown on the cruise????

Cruise '08 Memories: Kids stamp TOO!
Here are some photos with them and their fellow swap players (thanks Sheilah!)
Serena and Morgan are 2nd & 3rd from the left...

Morgan and Sammy hamming it up for the camera....

Once the kids were done swapping, they ran back to our suite to examine them all...and tear open the ones that had candy in to devour them! LOL!
My plan at this time is NOT to take them on the next incentive trip in Hawaii, but rather to bring them to Orlando in January when we'll have our next Leadership conference (+ a litle Disney). Whatever we decide, they sure love that Mommy's a Stampin' Up! demonstrator :)
HAPPY STAMPING,

Cruise '08 Memories: Real Men DO Stamp (part 2)
Aren't the jeans adorable? I've stamped on t-shirts and the like before, but I *love* the idea of using our Craft inks on denim.

He then did a card where he HEAT EMBOSSED on our wide grosgrain ribbon... got to admit, I'd never thought of that myself, but it looked wicked cool.

He then demo'd a "manly man" card made from sheet metal which was absolutely hilarious. You had to see him with the pink metal cutters to fully appreciate it all. I'm almost frightened to think what he'll have to come up with next time to follow up this virtuoso performance :)

Then he embossed a MARSHMALLOW! LOL! I mean, really....

I never thought I'd feel bad for Pam Morgan but how do you compete with that?? :) I'll show some of her gorgeous projects and a sneak peek at some new papers and sets tomorrow...
HAPPY STAMPING!

Cruise '08 Memories: Real Men DO Stamp (part 1)
They were there, bright and early at 8:30am on the Tuesday morning, swapping away. Aren't they adorable??? (that's my guy in the red)

Now, I have to tell you... I've seen all the cards that were swapped, and most look suspiciously as if the wives had a hand in "helping" (ahem). But that's okay, 'cuz now Brent claims he just has to "up his game" next year for the Hawaii Husband Swap Event :)
Tomorrow I'll share some stamping that another Brent did... Brent Steele! Very cool stuff using NEW sets, you don't want to miss it.
HAPPY STAMPING!

And now for the BIG NEWS!
My studio is moving!
Beginning May 1, my new location will be at:
2243 Danforth Ave - rear studio
(at Danforth Avenue at Gledhill, 1 light east of Woodbine Ave)
Toronto, ON M4C 1K4
MAPQUEST LINK
I will be right opposite my children's school -- so I look forward to including some more daytime and after-school classes into my schedule. For those of you who like the convenience of coming to my events using public transit, I'm about a 5 minute walk from the Woodbine subway station, or 8 minutes from Main Street station, if you need elevator access.
This new space means I will have a private office, a stamping room, a vestibule for jackets, etc, plus oodles of room for stamping tables, numerous display boards and shelves to show off the fun 3-D items I'm always collecting at Stampin' Up! events! Doesn't that sound wonderful?
This is also one of the reasons you may have noticed that my Events & Classes calendar is so light through the end of April... what with preparing for the Creativ Festival, painting & packing everything up, I've had to do a lot of shuffling to move my classes into May & June. But that's okay - we'll have a wonderful fresh new place to stamp in... YIPPEEE!!
I plan to have a great big New Studio Open House event on Saturday May 10th, so mark the date on your calendar since it's going to be HUGE!!!!!
Happy stamping,
Caroline

Home Sweet Home!

We landed back in Toronto Sunday night and are now trying to re-adjust to life without room service, deliciously prepared meals and non-stop FUN FUN FUN. It's always sad when a vacation ends but never more so when it's a Stampin' Up! one as well. Such is life -- and I'm *almost* ready to begin tackling the 5 luggages worth of laundry I came home with, plus responding to a zillion email.
I'll begin the MASSIVE job of sorting through the hundreds of photos I took, so that I can share with you some of the sneak peek items that Stampin' Up! has in store for us all (new sets, papers and IN COLORS!) and will start posting them tomorrow.
But for now... if you're thinking you might want to dream about the 2010 Incentive trip (which you can work towards during the 2008-2009 SU year), here's where it will be!

HAPPY STAMPING!
