Aloha-eh! We're home sweet home

Share |

Happy last day of March, everyone! Brent and I are home from our most amazing holiday/10-years belated-honeymoon in Hawaii and we're trying to keep the Aloha spirit alive, and not let jetlag drag us down. Napping helps a lot with that :)

I hope you enjoyed all the London Regionals photos I kept you busy with while I was gone - didn't want you to forget me and want to keep you all stamping.

I've gotten most of the pictures of the trip up on my personal Facebook account, so you're welcome to come and view them here:

I'll also be posting pictures of many of the Hospitality Suite cards later this week, so be sure to watch for them!

Remember, TODAY IS THE LAST DAY for Sale-A-Bration and the 15% off kit...you'll want to take advantage of this deal while you can.

A warm welcome goes out to Tanya, Monica and Katherine: the 3 latest gals to order the Stampin' Up! Starter Kit through me. I'm so happy to have you join us!

What class is on this week at the studio?
    - Wednesday April 1 (1pm and 7pm) - 5 Baby & Kids cards
    - Sorry, no classes this weekend! It's catch-up time :)
Be sure to RSVP a spot if you'd like to come out and play!!

Happy stamping,

Hawaii Trip Day 8 - more samples from Regionals

...more display card samples from the recent London Regionals event.

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Saturday March 28, and our flight back isn't until 5pm, so you had better believe we're going to squeeze every little last drop of sunshine out of this day before heading back to Toronto chill.

Our plan is to start the morning off with a sumptuous Breakfast Buffet, fill ourselves up to the brim and then pack up the car and GO! Where? Who cares?! It's our last day so we're going to play :)

So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Friday March 27, and most people are flying home today. We opted to stay the extra time so we're renting a car to go explore the island! We plan on hitting Hapuna Beach State Park for sure but the rest of the day is up in the air. Whatever we do, we plan on making the most of it!!!

So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Thursday March 26, and Stampin' Up! is hosting a LUAU for us all tonight!

This is what I read on the Hilton's website, so it gives me a bit of an idea what to expect:

Hawaii Trip Day 5 - more samples!

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Wednesday March 25, and there's a fabulous Make & Take session happening today, as well as a stampers Share Night in the evening. Don't laugh, but on my previous 3 trips I never managed to stay up late enough to go to these shares...that's the problem with being a 5am early bird!

If I'm going to stay up later, I think an afternoon nap would be a good idea, maybe out in a double hammock? Hmmmmm......

So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Tuesday March 24, and I think we've designated this BEACH day! Our plan is to hit Anaeho'omalu Beach (pronounced Ah nye ho-oh mah loo or you can just say A-bay). Let's bring on the 50 SPF for this lily-white Canadian skin!

So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

Hawaii Trip Day 3 - Blue cards!

more display card samples from the recent London Regionals event.

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Monday March 23, and we'll be all having a breakfast together at the Hilton. You can bet all the starving East Coasters will be lining up to get at the food - the 6 hour time difference will mess up everyone's internal clock and bring about lots of rumblies-in-the-tummies!

After breakfast there will be a General Assembly, where *hopefully* we'll get some sneak peeks on new stamp sets, the new 2009 In Colours (wheee!!) and find out where the 2011 Incentive Trip will be going to. I'll do my best to come back to post them if Brent let's me out of his honeymooning clutches :)

So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

Aloha!!!

Aloha from the Big Island!

I snagged the computer for a few wee seconds while my hubby is sipping wine out on the lanai, to say the resort is FABULOUS beyond imaginings and although we only arrived around noon, it's been amazing already. Every where I turn there are my stamping peeps and it's so wonderful to hug and reconnect with everyone.

We just had the Welcome reception where we were lei'd (second time today! LOL!) with shell leis this time and had delicious smoothies and food so I'm stuffed to the gills with a wicked huge grin on my face.

My body is definitely still confused since while it's 9:15pm here, it's really 3:15AM by my body clock. Will take some adjusting to get used to but that's okay!

hugs to all!

Hawaii Trip Day 2 - Card samples in GREEN!

more display card samples from the recent London Regionals event.

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Today is Sunday March 22, and we'll be flying this morning into Kona International Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hopefully all the time travelling backwards from the East coast won't have left me too discombobulated.

If I'm lucky, Brent will have wrapped up all his work and we'll be snuggled on the plane watching movies together and anticipating this fabulous vacation. I still can't believe that I won't be getting jumped on at 6am by videogame-master Morgan, or helping Serena with her homework for a WHOLE WEEK! That, my friends, is precious indeed.

Stampin' Up! will pick us up from the airport around lunchtime and bring us to Paradise (AKA the Hilton Waikoloa Village). There's an evening Welcome Reception but mostly I think we'll be exploring the grounds for today! So until tomorrow,

Happy stamping,

Hawaii Trip Day 1: Card samples in PINK & FREE SHIPPING ALL WEEK LONG!

Share |

While I am away on Stampin' Up!'s incentive trip, I have arranged to keep you inspired with some display card samples from the recent London Regionals event. I don't want you all bored while I'm gone, right?!

WHERE IS CAROLINE TODAY?

Hubby all alone at home? Not this trip -- he's coming with me, and with no kids either!!

Today is Saturday March 21, and if all goes well I should be flying across the country right now. We are due to land into San Francisco around about noon-ish after a 5 hour direct flight, and hopefully a not-too-loopy Caroline with her HappyPills getting her there in one piece.

We're staying overnight at the Majestic Hotel (thanks for the recommendation, Christyne!) and plan on eating at least one meal at the Stinking Rose, a garlic-themed restaurant (thanks, Denise). Apparantly I've been dared to eat their famous garlic ice cream, so I'll need to take photographic proof!

Happy stamping,

Hopefully I'll be getting a sneak peek of those in Hawaii on Monday, so stay tuned for more on those. Yes dear Janet, my newest recruit who just joined, you can get them too :) Who loves you?! LOL!

Obvious I think being a demonstrator is "the bomb", or I wouldn't invite you all to join up. And one of the most fabulous parts of all the trips I get to take with Stampin' Up! has to do with all the AMAZING stampers I've made friends with. And any time SU wants to send me somewhere that I can play with them, well who am I to say no?

So here are just a few of my fave peeps that I'm so excited to see next week in Hawaii, because I'd run out of room if I posted them all!!!

Some of my fave Canuck stampers - Founders Circle 2008

My boardgame buddies at Founders Circle 2007 - I kicked butt!

My buddy Alicia at Founders Circle 2007 on the best boat trip EVER!

Ann, minus StamperDog - Founders Circle 2007

Million Dollar Mary - Founders Circle 2008

Barb M, aka StamperExtraordinaire! - Founders Circle 2008

My friend Jennifer - London Stampede 2007

and of course, the queen herself - Founders Circle 2008

I'm off to finish my last-minute packing and errand-running, so I'll sign off now and just wish you all...

Happy stamping!

London Regionals - Demonstrator Presenters

Share |

When Stampin' Up! tours around North America hosting their Regionals events, they look to local demonstators who are attending to help them with business presentations and WOW techniques. It's always a thrill when you get the call asking to help, and this time was no different! Linda Hansen phoned me the week before and well, you just can't turn down THAT sweetheart :) so of course I said yes. Did you know that Linda was the first trainer hired at SU's corporate office? I think she just rocks.

Anyhoo, I was asked to do a quickie 5-minute presentation about my "Best Business Practices", so I chose to speak about the benefits of applying consistency to add aspects of your business.

Was I particularily coherent? I'm not sure -- I was on pretty strong cold medication so I certainly apologize to the 600 attendees if I made no sense...LOL! Mostly I was just grateful that I still had a bit of a voice and that I didn't fall off the stage.

Maureen McGrail had everyone howling when she opened up a small box to show her "stimulus package" and brought out a pretty pink bra! She gave a great talk as well, talking about the different types of "support" you receive as a demonstrator.

Heather Summer did a really cute presentation using punches to create barn animals.. check out the cute pig!

Corinne Somerville showed beautiful wedding ideas, concentrating on my favourite set "Fifth Avenue Floral". On the example below, she used a sanding block to help get additional detail on the Manhattan Flower texture die.

Alli showed the neatest "pop-up" cards that had stamped elements dangling on acetate strips. DEFINITELY something to show my peeps at a class!

One of my bestest Stampin' Up! friends, Alicia Ryckman presented a gorgeous envelope album. I'm SO doing one of these with my club people in July!!!

Okay, that's it for today. Tomorrow I'll focus on the projects that the SU presenters showed us... and there's LOTS of great ideas to see!

Happy stamping,
