"Thank You" Cards - Wed. May 13 (1 & 7pm)
Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday!
Before I show you 4 of the 5 cards we are making for tomorrow's Thank You Cards class, I just want to thank everyone for the amazing response so far to Stampin' Palooza.
So many of you have already registered and I've been inundated with offers to help, make display boards --- it's just going to be SUCH a great, high energy event. Yes, it might be 5 months away...but that just gives me more time to make it be FAB-OO! We already have over a dozen confirmed presenters and I know they'll knock our socks off :)
Alright, back to the stamping. Here's a quick and easy card that pairs up one of my all-time favourite sets, Baroque Motifs with some pretty papers from the "Bella Birds" collection. We also used a sponge dauber to lightly colour the white organdy ribbon, just to give it a light colour.

Colourblocking is one of those easy techniques that I love going back to time and time again. Card #2 incorporates yummy "Raspberry Tart" papers, jazzing it up with a little pink Flower Designer brad.

This 3rd card was inspired by one made by Karen Hastings, which I was lucky to have spotted this morning on the Demonstrator website. It uses 3 different Big Shot dies: the Top Note, the Scallops #2 and the Petal Card.
It's different then my usual style... but I liked it a lot. I made the base out of the textured Baja Breeze cardstock, and it fits our large square envelopes -- the card itself is 5.25x5.25.

The 4th card and the final one I'll be showing you today, uses another fave of mine: Illuminations. The scrollwork on the stamps is so pretty, and it's easy to create a distinctive and elegant card with them.
Of course, adding some Dazzling Diamonds glitter doesn't hurt, either!

Last but not least, a warm welcome goes out to Janet today. She re-joined the Stampin' Up! family (who can resist the $99 special?!?) and I'm so happy to have her on the team once more! :)
Happy stamping,
