Baking AND stamping -- a super combo!
Are you skilled in both the kitchen AND the stamp room? Here's a great combo for you to be able to combine two loves into one great gift!
- Banana Cranberry Orange bread recipe
• 4 T. butter
• 1-1/4 C. sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 2 C. flour
• 1 t. salt
• 1-1/2 t. baking soda
• 1/2 C. orange juice
• 2/3 C. mashed bananas
• 1-1/4 C. Craisins®
• 4 T. sour cream
• Orange zest
Baking Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Blend butter, sugar, and sour cream; add egg.
3. Sift together all dry ingredients.
4. With a spoon, add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture until all flour is moistened.
5. Fold in bananas, cranberries, and nuts. Add orange juice just to help moisten batter.
6. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with orange zest.
7. Bake times:
a. large loaf pan = 65-70 min.
b. 6 small loaf pans = 30 min.
8. Cool 10 min. before removing from pan.
Speaking of zest, the first meal my hubby ever made me back when we were dating included a home-made custard. He didn't understand the ingredients list and when it asked for lemon ZEST, he thought it meant lemon PULP! You can imagine what that did to the custard, but I ate it all anyway, while simging its praises. That's love for you....
