Bring on the Birthday Cards
It's going to be busy, busy, busy at the studio today!
I'm getting ready for my three different classes next week: 2 Birthday cards classes on Wednesday, shaker card classes using the Sweet Treats cups on Friday, and 3 back-to-back Holiday 10 cards classes on Saturday.
Add to that my darling daughter's 12th birthday, a visit to the crafty gals at Chatelaine.com to show them some cool SU projects and then a private stampng workshop with Suzanne and her friends on Sunday.
PHEW! I'll be a very busy puppy indeed, and you know I just love every minute of it.
Here's the first of the birthday cards, using our fun little Build-A-Bear die and a little t-shirt made from the "Tea Party" Designer papers pack.
I've deliberately chose the colours on the card to be gender neutral, so you could give it to either a boy or a girl baby/toddler. I liked using the Perfect Details Texturz plate on the Top Note die piece, since the grid lines looked so cute (click on picture to enlarge).
Card #2 uses the whimsical Tall Tales Designer paper with the matching Animal Stories owl. I love him -- he reminds me of a gumdrop! :) I also cheated and used the branch/saying from the Owl Together Now set since they matched so well.
Our third card uses the On a Pedestal set paired with the Thoroughly Modern paper. I used the clear Chunky Glitter for the icing area of the "cake" (from the 2 matching square punches).
Tomorrow I'll share the butterfly Easel card we'll be making... here's a sneak peek at the bottom of it.
Happy stamping,
