Easel card for Wednesday's Birthday card class...
As promised, here's the butterfly easel card we're making on Wednesday as part of the Birthday cards class.
It's a fun kind of template that lays flat in your envelope, but can be propped up to stand, being held in place with the buttons.
As you can see, I used 2 butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and layered them together. Just wrap gold cord around them both before adhering the bottom one in place so that the wings on the top butterfly can move freely.
I used the Finial Press Textured Impressions folder on the butterflies to get the raised embossed detail, and then sponged on the Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal and Gable Green.
I'll share our final card that uses the flowering branch from the Thoughts & Prayers set tomorrow.
Monday also brings a great new week of specials from Stampin' Up! and a bonus new tutorial from me so be sure to come back to the blog tomorrow to learn all the details!
Happy stamping,
