MDS Monday -- "trimming" your ribbon
It's time for another MDS Monday, where I share tips and tricks for using My Digital Studio, Stampin' Up!s digital crafting software.
Today's tip is a fast and easy way to get one of those cool "V" shapes on the end of your ribbons! I love doing this with my cards, but was unsure on how to create this effect with my digital ribbons. Well, I've found a way and want to share it with you!
First, pick your background colour for your layout, and then choose the ribbon you want to use. I chose the "Alpine" holiday mini ribbon in this example and enlarged it slightly.
Next, go to your Design Centre and choose a square punch shape, and rotate it 45 degrees.
Move the shape to the end of the ribbon, so that you cover the end up in that V shape. Fill the square punch with the same colour you used for your background.
Finish your layout by adding photos, a title, journalling and any other embellishments you want. And yes, I know he'll kill me later when he sees this -- hahahhaaa!!
