Okay, okay, I *know* that's not how we really spell "alphabet", but I was having so much fun with all those F sounds that I got carried away for a minute there.
With February being such a dreary weather month, I thought I'd liven things up with a fantabulous theme for the month and go through our Stampin' ABC's together -- introducing February's Fabulous Alphabet Fun!!
February 1rst will feature something with "A", the 2nd will be "B" and so on, leaving a few days at the end for some special projects. Does that sound good?
Here's a sneak peek card for you using numbers instead, just to get the mojo going! It's a pretty clever way to make a moving announcement - the next time your friends try to find your house, they'll know exactly what numbers to look for!

February also heralds the beginning of Sale-A-Bration, SU's biggest give-away sale of the year. While I can't officially post the actual images or mini catalogue for you all until tomorrow, I certainly CAN tell you what's in store for you.

This class was a LOT of fun to put together... it's an 8 mini-card set with matching 3"x3" box using the "Puns from the Past" stamp set.
Now, it's hard to tell whether or not I fell in love with this silly set on its own merits or because I'm married to the biggest punster around! Regardless, I found the vintage-themed images and silly sentiments to be just adorable, and the sizes were perfectly suited to a 3x3" format for mini cards. Thus the idea of a cute box with matching set of cards was born!
I used 2 different colours of Designer Series papers: the Chocolate Chip and Rose Red ones. I grabbed all kinds of my punches and just went to town experimenting with them!

Good morning everyone!
I've had a few people ask me if the new Backgrounds Texturz plates from Stampin' Up! will also fit in the Cuttlebug, as well as the Big Shot.
I did a bit of research for you and the answer is YES! Here's how you would sandwich it if you are using it in your 'bug:
TOP OF STACK
- Impressions Pad (hard plastic)
- Silicon mat (soft)
- card stock
- Texturz plate, side you want to use facing UP
- shim (if necessary)
- Cuttlebug A plate
BOTTOM OF STACK
I hope this information helps you Cuttlebug owners out there. That said, you have GOT to see the fabulous Big Shot Starter Kit sale I'll be having beginning February 1. Details will be here on the blog tomorrow morning, so be sure to come back and check it out!!

Here are 4 of the 5 projects we'll be making at the Valentine's Stamp Camp on Wednesday February 11.
"These are all very cute cards, Caroline, but what's project #5?", you ask??
Now, now... I can't show you yet! But I will say it's a VERY cool box and it involves CHOCOLATE (duh!)
There are spots available for both the 1pm and 7pm spots, $24.95 per person or class is FREE with an $80 order placed that day (+ 1 FREE SAB set!). Please RSVP to hold your spot!

Demonstrators all over Ontario are pretty excited about the Stampin' Up! Regional event that's planned for Saturday March 14th in London, ON. I know that myself and many of my "Canadians, INK!" team girls have signed up for this event and have begun planning our swaps, reserving hotel rooms for the Friday night, etc.
WHEN SPACE PERMITS, Stampin' UP! allows us to register non-demonstrator guests (AKA stamping addicts!) -- so if YOU want me to try and nab a spot for you, please contact me ASAP!
Each full-day training seminar ($90) includes
* Informative creative stamping presentations.
* Six stamping projects.
* The Best Wishes & More stamp set from the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book and Catalogue.
* Beautiful and inspiring stamped displays.
* An opportunity to swap with other demonstrators.
* A boxed lunch.
* Door prizes.
Regional events are always a boatload of fun, so please let me know if you want to join us - I'd be thrilled to include you in our fun!!!

Happy Friday, folks!
Here's a quick preview of the Texturz-embossed "In Color" quarter-sheets of cardstock that I'll be giving out FREE this weekend to all of my Open House guests.
I'll also be mailing these out as a "Thank you" gift to anyone placing an order with me anytime today through midnight, Sunday January 25th! You can place your Stampin' Up! orders by phone, email or else by placing it online though my store. Don't worry, if you placed an order with me earlier this week, you'll get one too :)
These Texturz texture plates add an embossed look and feel to thin surfaces with remarkable patterns and designs. You can use the "In Colour" sheets I'm sending you that are embossed with the Backgrounds 1 plates to create the perfect background for whatever project you're working on!

Happy Thursday, everyone!
I think many of you will be THRILLED to hear that this time around, every single stamp set in the new catalogue has been DIE-CUT to make mounting your stamps that much easier. WOOHOO :)
Another thing that you'll notice is that Stampin' Up! did not include any "recipes" of the projects (AKA the list of Stampin' Supplies) in the catalogue this year. This meant they were instead able to save those pages to squeeze in some extra new products for us! But do not fear, there still IS a complete list that you can reference anytime! I have it included in my sidebar (right under the catalogue) so you can look it up whenever you want to.
I have also included a handy link to the Dormant Stamp sets list, which are stamps that are STILL available for purchase however are not included in the current catalogue.
These include some Halloween and Christmas favourites such as Batty for You and Snow Swirled as well as several others. But don't worry -- I'll still showcase several of the dormant sets throughout the next 6 months to keep them fresh in your mind!
Last but not least, there were a couple of boo-boo's that got missed in the catalogue, so I've created a Catalogue Corrections page to reference. I'll update it whenever someone spots something else wrong (eek).
I'll be busy today preparing for this weekend's New Catalogue Open House -- I hope to see some of you then.

Now, I'm not saying that this set will ever replace the affections that "Lovely As a Tree" has in my heart, but I was still pretty darned excited to see this new set in the Spring & Summer Catalogue.
I love the skinny branches, and the variety of accents and embellishments that could dress the tree up. I'm even imagining how cool the babywipe technique would be for the leaves, don't you think so? Oh, I see a class in the future with this set, for sure!!!
