Let me share with you one of the cards we're making as part of my "Technique Time" class. It's using the Herringbone technique, which creates these beautiful patterns with small strips of Designer paper or cardstock.
By the way, if by chance you'll be missing today's class, you're welcome to come on Tuesday at 1pm instead when I present it again! Just RSVP and I'll save you a spot. We'll also be doing a Glitter Lace technique as well as the Faux Mother of Pearl.
Cost for the class is $25 ($20 for demonstrators) and INCLUDES a special free product give-away. Place a $60 order with me that day and not only will you get your class FREE, but you'll also receive a free Sale-A-Bration item of your choice!
I fell in love with a card done by Dawn Olchefske that used this technique and the Autumn Meadows DSP from last year's Holiday Mini Catalogue.
Because I was looking for a lighter spring look, I chose instead to use the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalogue.
It’s the perfect paper for achieving a sentimental vintage feel for your favorite projects and coordinates with Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, River Rock, Very Vanilla, and Always Artichoke.
The stamp set used for the sentiment is my current favourite one from the SAB catty: Bliss. For a wee bit of bling, I also added a turquoise Glimmer Brad from the Subtles collection to finish it off.
If you can't attend my class and want to try and make this at home, I'd suggest watching Dawn's excellent video... it will help you a lot.
Anyhow, I hope that you enjoyed today's card. Be good and happy stamping!
