Here are 2 more cards from the Aviary card class to inspire you...
Card #2 uses a Rose Red, Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy colour scheme which I based on the paper I chose from the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper. If you like this pattern, you can also get them in the Digital download of the papers or in the matching Designer Fabric!
To accent the card, I added one of each of the three colours of Vintage Flowers Adornments overtop the 5/8" Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon strip. These pretty little vintage flowers are reminiscent of treasures you might find in grandma’s jewelry box making them perfect embellishments for all kinds of papercrafting projects—especially scrapbook pages dedicated to old family pictures and histories.
You can make a border or accent all the more fancy and detailed with these sweet charms, and you'll see they adhere to projects easily with Mini Glue Dots.
This Aviary card was a fun one to put together, as it uses the Love Impressions Specialty Designer paper from the Occasions Mini catalogue.
You get a total of 12 sheets per pack: 2 each of 2 single-sided embossed designs on cover-weight paper and 2 each of 4 double-sided designs on text-weight paper. I love the feel of the embossed ones...I can just imagine the gorgeous scrapbook pages that could be put together with them!
The Basic Black scallop square was die-cut from the Scallop Square Duo Bigz Die, using the larger of the 2 squares (Large square measures 3" x 3", small square measures 1-11/16" x 1-11/16").
Now, throw on some matching Real Red Glimmer brads and add Stampin' Dimensionals for lift, and you've put together a fast but super-cute card!
To pick a sentiment for this card, I pulled out my Three Little Words set, which as you can see has many more than just three little words in it!
Did you know that you can get this set for FREE this month during Sale-A-Bration? It's true... Stampin' Up! not only has a variety of new offerings to choose from but they'll also allow you to choose from stamp sets in the main catalogue?
Yup, customers and hostesses can choose to redeem their Sale-A-Bration rewards for any one wood-mount stamp set of $17.95 or lesser value or any one clear-mount stamp set of $14.95 or lesser value from the Idea Book & Catalogue. Doesn't THAT just give you tons of new opportunities for free stamps?!?!?
