If you are planning on coming to the studio today for my Open Stampers Day, here is one of the projects you'll be making: a Nature Walk card that uses a combination of ink and shimmer paint to stamp the primary image!
This was one of those "happy accidents" that I discovered while preparing for this month's cards.
I had originally stamped the bird in Soft Suede ink, and then I used a sponge dauber to dab on some of the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint directly to the rubber over the ink, to see the effect.
I think the final result turned out really neat in both appearance and texture, and especially when it catches the light when you move the card.
Another point I should probably mention is that if you don't recognize the ribbon I used along the card, it's because I used a different sponge dauber to add Soft Suede ink to the Victoria crochet trim ribbon. A perfect and easy way for customizing to the look YOU want!
The other embellishments seen are the vanilla Rosettes, Pearl Jewel accents, as well as the Elegant Soirée DSP.
This set of 7 images from the Occasions Mini Catalogue has proven to be immensely popular, and I've seen so many fabulous creations done with it by my fellow stampers.
I have seen so many wonderful possibilities and ideas with this set that I'm incorporating it into 4 more of my classes this month:
